The outcome is a well-defined strategy that is tailor-made to your business requirements. Our expertise includes leveraging native tools like the Cloud Journey Tracker – which gives a cloud adoption path based on an in-depth analysis of your current technology landscape, needs, and desired results from the move to the Azure Cloud. We will work with you to build a comprehensive short-term and long-term transition path.   

This pillar involves creating a granular plan to meet the strategy requirements, considering the current technology landscape, Cloud Economics assessment, resource utilization, and dividing the exercise into sequential phases. It identifies the workloads captured for migration and modernization, asset analysis, rationalization, and creation of a release plan with well-defined timeframes. This pillar also factors in the required Change Management Strategy to effectively adopt the transition. Tools used in this phase include the Cloud Adoption plan template and the DevOps generator. 

This pillar will deploy and implement an enterprise-scale landing zone leveraging the Well-Architected Framework design and infrastructure-as-code (IaC). A well-architected and implemented landing zone is a key module for successful cloud adoption. 

The Networking and Security pillar configures a networking and identity architecture that provides a foundation to secure ‘data at rest’ and ‘data in transit’, in hybrid cloud adoption. The Azure IDAM (Identity Access Management) provides a well-defined Role-based Access Control (RBAC) system to ensure user access is limited only to their specific functions and implements a thorough layer of Governance in accessing the Azure platform. The pillar also includes a strategy for ensuring the security of information, applications, and data, and a system for event and threat detection. 

The Governance and Operations pillar is a part of the implementation process and includes the necessary policies, processes, and operational enhancements. It also involves a strategy for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery for unforeseen events that can affect the applications, workloads, and data, and have quick remediation for BAU. 

 An important area of good Governance and operations is establishing a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), that continuously tracks the health of the Cloud, cost optimization, and security scores. 

This pillar involves migrating and modernizing the current landscape with the 5R’ – Rehost, Refactor, Rearchitect, Rebuild and Replace. It involves both cloud-native and new innovations that are a part of the operational processes and ensures the best possible Cloud Enablement by balancing business goals with technology solutions. 

This pillar is after the actual migration and involves Cloud management, support, and analyzing the alerts and their triggers within the Azure landscape. The major factor is ensuring that all performance aspects are reviewed and addressed accordingly and generating the necessary cost reporting.
